Overview of the Director of Member Experience 

The Director of Member Experience plays an integral part in 36°N’s health and growth by providing ongoing relationship leadership and strategy for engaging members, ensuring the 36°N member experience is of the highest quality from a member’s first tour through their onboarding and integration into our community. You will love this job if you enjoy building relationships, connecting like-minded peers, and facilitating events that create community. You are someone who is strategic, can build systems, isn’t afraid to get in the details, and gets excited by a day that includes a mix of event management, interacting with members, managing processes and a team, and building an organization for the future.

Responsibilities of the Director of Member Experience

  • Oversee daily membership functions of the company (tours, applications, onboarding, offboarding, upgrades, add-ons, etc.) 
  • Design and implement member strategies, plans, systems, and events
  • Own the planning and execution of community-building events
  • Identify and implement member experience best practices to ensure positive member engagement with 36°N programs, community, and offerings
  • Set and hold member experience team accountable to member experience metrics
  • Represent the company to clients and prospective clients 
  • Prepare for and attend company board meetings 
  • Manage front desk team (both part-time and full-time) across all 3 locations and support their key functions, including open/close, daily ops, inventory, and event rental. Support team through ongoing training, maintaining a safe, secure, and legal work environment, and developing personal growth opportunities 
  • Lead hiring, onboarding, and training of part-time staff


  • You are able to represent 36°N in a way in which members, staff, and partners love their experience and trust the results. 
  • You have 3-5 years of successfully managing people in a leadership role and are comfortable leading, using, and implementing company-wide goals and metrics. 
  • You display exemplary analysis, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to strategize “outside the box.” 
  • You are familiar with diverse cultures and have experience engaging with others from a wide range of perspectives. 
  • You demonstrate strong initiative, leadership, teamwork and attention to detail with the ability to prioritize and shift priorities instantaneously. 
  • You possess strong relationship management skills and know how to connect people and build community.
  • You have excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • You are a reliable, get-it-done person with the ability to see the “big stuff” while executing on the “small stuff.” 
  • Ability to self-start in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Attention to detail.

  • You are willing to live or relocate to Tulsa, OK.

36°N is offering a competitive salary based on a fair market rate and commensurate with relevant experience. Not to mention, our benefits are flames.
