Molly Jones is the founder and president of Jones Design Studio, a group of architects who work exclusively on sustainable projects. Their vision is to build a beautiful, sustainable, resilient future.

How, where and when do you get your best ideas?
In the early mornings or on long drives when I can unplug. I am typically up and dreaming by 5:30 in the morning.

What's a work tool or ritual that you couldn't live without?
I am a tool junkie, but I must say that I can't live without Harvest, Asana and G Suite.

What skill would you like to master?
I would like to master the art of watercolor painting. Of course, I have to start first...

What advice would you give to someone seeking to launch or grow a business?
Grow thick skin and never, ever listen to those who say you can't do something.

What's a big "win" you experienced in the past year?
Oklahoma's first Living Building Challenge project, The Joinery, is finally under construction. We also were selected to design Tulsa's first co-housing project, Heartwood Commons, which is an amazing project!

What are you most looking forward to in the year to come?
Building the Joinery, designing Heartwood Commons, and growing!

Why 36 Degrees North?
I love working with a diversity of people pursuing different passions. Being at 36 Degrees North will allow us to grow without needing an office (and all the accompanying work) for quite some time.

Do you want to give any shoutouts?
Thanks to the 36 Degrees North team and to Amy Hamilton for all your help! You are all awesome!
