36°N members, partners and supporters-

I am writing to let you know about a new chapter for 36 Degrees North. On January 25th, I will leave my position as Executive Director of 36 Degrees North to pursue a new opportunity as Head of Operations at Gitwit, a digital product and marketing agency here in Tulsa.

While my title is changing, I want you to know that I am still 36°N’s biggest fan and plan to remain part of the 36°N community. The past four years have been some of the best of my career because of you- the people I get to interact with on a daily basis.

Thanks to Elizabeth Ellison, Aaron Miller and Brian Paschal for giving me the opportunity four years ago to work on what was then called the “Tulsa Entrepreneur Center.” Thanks to our current and past board members as well as our partner organizations for working with us to make Tulsa such a uniquely collaborative community. Thanks to our staff for challenging me, encouraging me and making it fun to show up to work every day. It has been an honor to work side-by-side with you to build something bigger than ourselves. Finally, thanks to our members for owning the culture of 36 Degrees North. You make 36 Degrees North more rewarding than I could have imagined.

Even as I look back with fondness, I am confident that the best days for 36°N are ahead. We have a strong team, an invested board of directors and, most importantly, a thriving community of 382 members and 52 partners who are pushing the entrepreneur community in Tulsa forward.

Our team is working through a transition plan over the next few weeks that includes identifying the next Executive Director for 36 Degrees North. If you have specific questions about the transition, please reach out to myself or our Board Chair, Elizabeth Ellison.

I am excited to participate in the community in a new way and can’t wait to see what’s next.

Best,
Dustin
