What does your organization do? The Riata Center is made of a dedicated staff of entrepreneurship professionals who foster the spirit of entrepreneurship through innovative outreach programs. The team is dedicated to high impact entrepreneurial outreach on the campus, in the region, around the State of Oklahoma, across the US, and abroad. The Center is intimately engaged with the entrepreneurial community and strongly committed to creating unique experiential learning opportunities for students and to provide entrepreneurial education to others as means to economic development.
Why did you decide to partner with 36°N? As a land-grant university, Oklahoma State University promotes learning, advances knowledge, enriches lives, and stimulates economic development through teaching, research, extension, outreach, and creative activities. The Riata Center, in following university mission, chose to partner with 36°N to increase our ability to educate and assist members of Tulsa’s growing entrepreneurial community and in turn link our students to additional resources.
Sarah Teague is a Manager of Events and Outreach for the Riata Center. She is responsible for expanding OSU's Riata Center for Entrepreneurship programs to the Tulsa community. David Thomison is an entrepreneurship professor at Oklahoma State University. Prior to joining OSU, David served as a Senior Vice President of Client Services Group of i2E, Inc, where he managed the statewide delivery of early stage commercialization advisory services to over 250 advanced technology companies, oversaw $50 million in Seed Venture Capital Funds, and championed the formation of SeedStep Angels. He has a breadth of business experience, ranging from start-up organizations to a Fortune 500 company, and industry knowledge, including energy, software & financial service.
